Interesting tidbit from the 1908 football season…
Arkansas and William Jewel were originally scheduled to play a game on October 24, 1908 in Fayetteville. William Jewel “having canceled over Arkansas’ protest” was replaced on the schedule by Henderson College. Arkansas beat Henderson by a score of 51-0.
