Arkansas at Georgia: A Must Win for the Dawgs

“I don’t know how big a game can get, but this is big,” Richt said. “We know that. Our coaches know it. Our players know it. I think the Bulldog nation knows it. It’s big. We have to get after it.”

In only the third week of September, hopes for the 2010 season at Georgia (1-1, 0-1 SEC) may well hinge on what happens when 12th-ranked Arkansas (2-0, 0-0) visits Sanford Stadium at noon Saturday for a game to be televised by ESPN.

A timely victory puts the Bulldogs back in the SEC East title hunt after last weekend’s dispiriting defeat at South Carolina. Another loss could swing the season permanently in the wrong direction by putting Georgia at 0-2 in the league for the first time under Richt.
