1964 Razorbacks for EA Sports NCAA

by Jacob

Reading time: About 1 minute

1964 Razorbacks in NCAA10NCAA 10 will be released a month from today on the PS3 and Xbox 360. One of the great features EA Sports has added this year is the ability to create your own team. For years I have wished there was a vintage Razorback team in the game and this year there will be…

I have uploaded the logos, styled the jerseys, and entered all the player names (which took what seemed like forever) into the new EASports TeamBuilder.

All player names, numbers, height, and year are correct.  I did make a few changes to the weight as almost everyone on the 64 team was 180-200 pounds.  I added 25 pounds to the tight ends, 50 pounds to the defensive linemen, and 75 pounds to the Offensive linemen – everything else is the same as they were during the 1964 – National Championship Season.

I also made a few changes to positions to make up for modern football formations.  If you look at the usual starting lineups for 1964 you will see that modern two squad football teams do not use the same position names as they did in the 60′s.  I think everything worked out well, but I did have to get a little creative with the 2nd and 3rd teams.

NCAA 10 owners will be able to download the roster and play as the team after the game is released on July 14th.  You can look at the 1964 team I made over on the TeamBuilder site now.

CLICK HERE for the 1964 Razorback XBOX team.

You can look through the home, away and alternate Helmets and Jerseys (late 40′s style helmets and jerseys were used for the alternates).

If you have time over the next month please look over the roster and positions and let me know if you think changes should be made.

  • This is a great idea for Teambuilder. Thanks for sharing. I’m a big WVU Mountaineers fan and will likely do something similar for an All-Time team or something similar (WVU has never had an All-Time team, to my knowledge).

Thanks, if you decide to make an ALL-WVU Team come back and let us know. We love Football history and may want to download your team.
