Trivia Tuesday – Week 3

By Jacob on July 21, 2009

Well, the last two weeks have been pretty easy, very easy actually.  So in honor of tonight’s “Celebration of the Razorback” we dig a bit deeper and bring you a question from 1909, the year we made the switch from Cardinals to Razorbacks.

In 1909 Coach Hugo Bezdek led Arkansas to the school’s first undefeated season with wins over Oklahoma and LSU.  After defeating LSU on November 13, 1909, a group of students gathered at the Fayetteville train station to meet the players as they arrived home.  While Coach Bezdek was talking with the fans he described the team as “a wild band of Razorback Hogs,” and the rest as they say, is history.

Question:  Arkansas played LSU on the road in 1909, in what city was the game played?
